Algonquin Vacation

I was reading that Muskoka was rated as the number one vacation spot in National Geographic the other day. All I have to say to that is, HA! Algonquin is by far the superior spot for a little R&R. There's not a McMansion 'cottage' in sight and there's not a seadoo to be found.

Best nap ever.

A mushroom and his little mosquito friend.

Mother Merganser.

Mama Loon.

We found some little houses. Or were perhaps inspired.

I took way too many pictures of this guy, but he was just so into it.

I was really upset with whom ever left this bar of soap in the waterfall. Humans just can't go anywhere without leaving all kinds of junk behind - myself included.

Delightful.

For the entire trip we were obsessed with this band - not only because they're awesome, but also because we saw them just before we left. So it was a week of 'that's ridiculous!' and 'I liked you right from the start.' NQ Arbuckle - they're pretty rad.

I promise, promise, promise I'll have some actual art updates soon. Scanning is just so darn tedious.

  1. Let me just say - I love you...

This post is so cute! We just got back from Bon Echo, and seeing old old pictographs on the cliffs and feeling the moss under our feet in the dense forests. It really humbles you to get back into nature and remind yourself how beautiful it still is.

Since moving to Toronto I've had the itch to get away! I like that you guys napped outside! lol

Hope you had a great time :)
